Recombinant Proteins

Lyophilized protein should be stored at -20˚ C, though stable at room temperature for 3 weeks.
Reconstituted protein solution can be stored at 4-7˚ C for 2-7 days.
Aliquots of reconstituted samples are stable at -20˚ C for 3 months.

Tumor necrosis factor alpha (TNF alpha) is the prototypic ligand of the TNF superfamily. TNF alpha forms a homotrimer and functions by activating two types of receptors TNF-R1 (TNF receptor type 1, p55R) and TNF-R2 (TNF receptor type 2, p75R). TNF alpha is a pleiotropic cytokine that is capable to promote inflammation, to induce apoptotic cell death, and to inhibit tumorigenesis and viral replication. TNF alpha is a potent lymphoid factor that exerts cytotoxic effects on a wide range of tumor cells and certain other target cells.

Lyophilized from a 0.2 um filtered solution of 20mM PB, 300mM NaCl, pH7.4. It is not recommended to reconstitute to a concentration less than 100 ug/ml. Dissolve the lyophilized protein in ddH2O.
