Description: SRT1720 HCl (formerly known as CAY10559 HCl), the hydrochloride salt of SRT1720, is a novel, potent and selective SIRT1 (Sirtuin 1) activator with potential anticancer activity and is a promising new therapeutic agent for treating type 2 diabetes. It activated SIRT1 with an EC50 of 0.16 uM in a cell-free assay, but > 230-fold less potentcy against SIRT2 and SIRT3.
