Description	InvivoChem Cat #:V1243CAS #:2192-20-3 Purity >=98% Description: Hydroxyzine 2HCl (NSC-169188; NSC169188; Arcanax; Neurolax; Orgatrax; Pamoate, Hydroxyzine; Vistaril), the dihydrochloride salt of hydroxyzine, is a potent histamine H1-receptor antagonist and an antihistamine drug used in the treatment ofitchiness, anxiety, and nausea. It inhibits the binding of 3Hpyrilamine/3Hdesloratadine to human histamine H1 receptor with IC50 of 10 nM/19 nM. Unlike its major metabolite cetirizine, Hydroxyzine does cause drowsiness.
