Description	InvivoChem Cat #:V1485CAS #:150683-30-0Purity >=98% Description: Tolvaptan (formerly OPC41061; OPC-41061; trade names Samsca; Jinarc; Resodim) is a selective, competitive, orally bioavailable and nonpeptide antagonist of arginine vasopressin V2 receptor with anti-hypernatremic activity. It inhibits arginine vasopressin V2 receptor with an IC50 of 3 nM. Tolvaptan was approved for use in the treatment of hyponatremia. Tolvaptan is vasopressin receptor 2 antagonist used to treat hyponatremia (low blood sodium levels) associated with congestive heart failure, cirrhosis, and the syndrome of inappropriate antidiuretic hormone (SIADH).
