Description: Fluorofenidone(AKF-PD; AKFPD), a derivative of AMR69, a promising multifunctional antifibrosis pyridinone drug which act as a potent inhibitor of nicotinamide adeninedinucleotide phosphate oxidase via PI3K/Akt pathway in the pathogenesis of renal interstitial fibrosis. It attenuates the progression of renal interstitial fibrosis partly bysuppressing NADPH oxidase and extracellular matrix (ECM) deposition viathe PI3K/Akt signalling pathway.
