Description: Osthol (Osthol; Ostol; NSC 31868) is an O-methylated coumarin analog and a natural product which is found in the plants such as Cnidium monnieri, Angelica archangelica and Angelica pubescens. Osthol inhibites platelet aggregation and ATP release induced by ADP, arachidonic acid, PAF, collagen, ionophore A23187 and thrombin in washed rabbit platelets.
