Description	InvivoChem Cat #:V5309CAS #:30652-11-0Purity >=98% Description: Deferiprone (tradename Ferriprox) is novel, potent and orally bioactive iron-chelating drug used for transfusional iron overload clinically. It was approved in 1994 for treating thalassaemia major in Europe and Asia. On October 14, 2011, it was approved for use in the US under the FDAA’s accelerated approval program. Deferiprone binds to iron and removes it from the blood stream.
