Product description
Malonylation of lysine is a newly identified reversible modification controlling protein activity. Sirt5, a regulatory enzyme for lysine malonylation, can catalyze lysine demalonylation reactions in vivo and in vitro. Through integrated proteomic approaches and biochemistry analysis, it has been found that lysine malonylation is widely distributed acrossvarious histones and non-histone substrates. Lysine malonylation may provide a new paradigm in cellular regulation, such as energy metabolism in diverse organisms.
Manufacturer - Specificity
With a mixture of high-quality rabbit- and mouse-derived anti-malonyllysine antibodies cross-linked, this Anti-Malonyllysine Antibody Conjugated Agarose Beads present extraordinary capability to specifically capture peptides/proteins bearing phosphotyrosine residues but do not cross-react with the peptides/proteins bearing structurally similar succinyllysine, propionyllysine, or butyryllysine residues. This product has been well utilized to affinity purify peptides for global proteomic screening of lysine malonylation.
