Application Notes	It is a dihydrochalcone occurring in all parts of the apple tree except the mature fruit. Once thought to occur in pear, plum, cherry trees and other Rosaceae. Inhibitor of Na+-glucose cotransporters (SGLT). inhibits both SGLT1 and SGLT2 with low therapeutic selectivity. Cytotoxic to Breast Cancer cells with potent antioxidant and antibacterial activity. Produces renal glycosuria and blocks intestinal glucose absorption. Normalizes insulin sensitivity in diabetic rats.
