Description
Carcinoembryonic antigen (CEA), which is synthesized during development in the fetal gut, and is re-expressed in increased amounts in intestinal carcinomas and several other tumors.

Applications:
Suitable for use as a calibrator in ELISA. Other applications not tested.

Recommended Dilution:
Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.

Total Protein Concentration:
~6-7 OD units/ml, 280nm, 1cm light path

Storage and Stability:
May be stored at 4°C for short-term only up to 3 months. For long-term storage, aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing and freeze at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
