Structure:
Protein A is a monomeric protein lacking cysteine residues.

Specificity:
Protein A binds the Fc portion of human IgG1, IgG2, IgG3 (weakly), IgG4, and mouse IgG1 (weakly), IgG2a, IgG2b, and IgG3. Protein A also binds IgG from monkey, rabbit, porcine, guinea pig, canine, and feline.

Applications:
Suitable for use in ELISA, Western Blot, Affinity Chromatography, Immunoprecipitation and Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested.

Recommended Dilutions:
ELISA: 1:8000-1:16, 000. However, for any specific experiment, the conjugate should be titrated to get the highest signal possible with lowest background.
Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.

Substrate Solution:
1mM ABTS in 0.1M citrate buffer, pH 4.2, 0.03% hydrogen peroxide.

Storage and Stability:
Store product at 4°C if to be used immediately within two weeks. For long-term storage, aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing and store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable at -20°C for 6 months after receipt. Dilute required amount only prior to immediate use. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. Note: Sodium azide is a potent inhibitor of peroxidase and should not be added to HRP conjugates.
For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
