Glucose Assay Kit is an Assay Kit by HK Method.

This product is used to determine glucose content in human serum.

Hexokinase catalyzes the reaction between glucose in the human serum and ATP to generate glucose - 6 - phosphate (G - 6 - P) and ADP. The G - 6 - P is oxidized by glucose - 6 - phosphate dehydrogenase (G - 6 - PD H) and forms 6 - p hosphogluconic acid (6 - GP), at the same time, reduction re action is occurred to transform NAD+ to NADH. The content of NADH is proportional to the glucose concentration. The glucose concentration in the serum is calculated by detecting the increase value of NADH absorbance at 340nm.
