Manufacturer - Applications	Optimal working dilutions should be determined experimentally by the investigator. Suggested starting dilutions are as follows: WB (1:500-1:2000), IHC-P (1:100-1:300), ELISA (1:40000). Not yet tested in other applications.

Storage Conditions	Stable for one year at -20C from date of shipment. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
Background	PTGS1 is one of two genes encoding similar enzymes that catalyze the conversion of arachinodate to prostaglandin. Prostaglandin-endoperoxide synthase 1 regulates angiogenesis in endothelial cells, and is inhibited by nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs such as aspirin. Based on its ability to function as both a cyclooxygenase and as a peroxidase, prostaglandin-endoperoxide synthase 1 has been identified as a moonlighting protein. Prostaglandin-endoperoxide synthase 1 may promote cell proliferation during tumor progression. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants.
