IL 6 Rhesus Macaque Recombinant produced in E.Coli is a single, non-glycosylated, polypeptide chain containing 186 amino acids and having a molecular mass of 21.1kDa.The IL 6 Rhesus Macaque is purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques.

Physical Appearance and Stability: Lyophilized IL-6 although stable at room temperature for 3 weeks, should be stored desiccated below -18C. Upon reconstitution IL-6 should be stored at 4C between 2-7 days and for future use below -18C.Please prevent freeze-thaw cycles.
Formulation and Purity: Lyophilized from a 0.2um filtered concentrated solution in PBS, pH 7.4. Greater than 97.0% as determined by SDS-PAGE and HPLC analyses.
Solubility: It is recommended to reconstitute the lyophilized IL-6 in sterile 18M-cm H2O not less than 100ug/ml, which can then be further diluted to other aqueous solutions.
Biological Activity: Fully biologically active when compared to standard. The ED50 determined by a cell proliferation assay using IL-6-dependent murine 7TD1 cells is less than 0.1ng/ml, corresponding to a specific activity of > 1.0 x 10, 000, 000 IU/mg.
