Interleukin-1 alpha Human Recombinant produced in E.Coli is single, a non-glycosylated, Polypeptide chain containing 159 amino acids and having a molecular mass of 18022 Dalton. The IL-1A is purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques.

Physical Appearance and Stability: Lyophilized Interleukin-1 alpha although stable at room temperature for 3 weeks, should be stored desiccated below -18C. Upon reconstitution IL-1a should be stored at 4C between 2-7 days and for future use below -18C.Please prevent freeze-thaw cycles.
Formulation and Purity: The protein was lyophilized from a concentrated (1mg/ml) sterile solution containing 25mM Tris-HCl, pH 8. Greater than 97.0% as determined by:(a) Analysis by RP-HPLC.(b) Analysis by SDS-PAGE.
Solubility: It is recommended to reconstitute the lyophilized Interleukin 1 alpha in sterile 18MO-cm H2O not less than 100ug/ml, which can then be further diluted to other aqueous solutions.
Biological Activity: The ED50 as determined by the dose-dependant stimulation of murine D10S cells is < 0.001 ng/ml, corresponding to a Specific Activity of 1 x 109 IU/mg.
