GOT1 Human Recombinant E.coli produced in E.Coli is a single, non-glycosylated polypeptide chain containing 433 amino acids (1-413 a.a.) and having a molecular mass of 48.4 kDa. The GOT1 is fused to a 20 amino acid His-Tag at N-terminus and purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques.

Physical Appearance and Stability: Store at 4C if entire vial will be used within 2-4 weeks. Store, frozen at -20C for longer periods of time. For long term storage it is recommended to add a carrier protein (0.1% HSA or BSA).Avoid multiple freeze-thaw cycles.
Formulation and Purity: The GOT1 solution (0.5mg/ml) containing 20mM Tris-HCl pH-8.0, 2mM DTT, 0.1M NaCl & 20% glycerol. Greater than 95.0% as determined by SDS-PAGE.
Biological Activity: Specific activity is > 50 units/mg, and is defined as
the amount of enzyme that converts 1umole of a-ketoglutarate to L-Glutamate per
minute at pH 8.0 at 25C.
