Physical Appearance and Stability: Lyophilized Macrophage Colony Stimulating Factor although stable at room temperature for 3 weeks, should be stored desiccated below -18C. Upon reconstitution MCSF should be stored at 4C between 2-7 days and for future use below -18C.Please prevent freeze-thaw cycles.
Formulation and Purity: The lyophilized protein (1mg/ml) was lyophilized with 20mM phosphate buffer, 1% HSA and 3% manntiol. Greater than 95.0% as determined by(a) Analysis by RP-HPLC.(b) Analysis by SDS-PAGE.
Solubility: It is recommended to reconstitute the lyophilized M-CSF in sterile 18MO-cm H2O not less than 100ug/ml, which can then be further diluted to other aqueous solutions.
Biological Activity: The ED50, calculated by the dose-dependant stimulation of the proliferation of murine M-NFS-60 indicator cells was found < 3ng/ml, corresponding to a specific activity of less than 333, 333.33units/mg.
