FGF-8 Mouse Recombinant produced in E.coli is a single, non-glycosylated polypeptide chain containing 246 amino acids and having a molecular mass of 28.1kDa.The FGF-8 is purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques.

Physical Appearance and Stability: Lyophilized FGF-8 although stable at room temperature for 3 weeks, should be stored desiccated below -18C. Upon reconstitution FGF-8 should be stored at 4C between 2-7 days and for future use below -18C. For long term storage it is recommended to add a carrier protein (0.1% HSA or BSA). Please prevent freeze-thaw cycles.
Formulation and Purity: FGF-8 protein was lyophilized from a 0.2um filtered concentrated solution in PBS, pH 7.4. Greater than 95.0% as determined by: (a) Analysis by RP-HPLC.(b) Analysis by SDS-PAGE.
Solubility: It is recommended to reconstitute the lyophilized FGF-8 in sterile 18M-cm H2O not less than 100ug/ml, which can then be further diluted to other aqueous solutions.
Biological Activity: The ED50, as determined by the dose-dependent a cell proliferation assay using NR6R-3T3 mouse fibroblast cells is < 25 ng/ml in the presence of 0.1 ug/ml heprin, corresponding to a specific activity of > 4.0x104 units/mg.
