Physical Appearance and Stability: Lyophilized Galectin-3 Recombinant although stable at room temperature for 3 weeks, should be stored desiccated below -18C. Upon reconstitution Galectin-3 should be stored at 4C between 2-7 days and for future use below -18C.For long term storage it is recommended to add a carrier protein (0.1% HSA or BSA).Please prevent freeze-thaw cycles.
Formulation and Purity: The Galectin-3 protein was lyophilized from a 0.2um filtered concentrated solution in PBS, pH 7.4 and 3mM DTT. Greater than 97.0% as determined by analysis by SDS-PAGE and HPLC.
Application:
Solubility: It is recommended to reconstitute the lyophilized LGALS3 in sterile 18MO-cm H2O not less than 100ug/ml, which can then be further diluted to other aqueous solutions.
Biological Activity: The ED50 as determined by its ability to agglutinate human red blood cells is less than 10 ug/ml.
