Description
Our Anti-TARPGamma2/Stargazin mouse monoclonal primary antibody from NeuroMab is produced in-house from hybridoma clone N245/1. It is KO validated, detects mouse and rat TARPGamma2/Stargazin, and is purified by Protein A chromatography. It is great for use in ICC, WB.
Target Description
Voltage-dependent calcium channel gamma-2 subunit, TARPGamma2 or Stargazin is encoded by the gene CACNG2 and is the transmembrane gamma subunit of the L-type calcium channel. Stargazin is in involved in regulation and trafficking of the ligand gated ion channel AMPA receptors. It is thought to play a role in learning and memory. Diseases associated with this gene include forms of deafness, Mental Retardation and childhood absnce epilepsy.
Clonality
Monoclonal
Manufacturer - Specificity
Does not cross-react with TARPGamma3, TARPGamma4 and TARPGamma8
Concentration
1 mg/mL
Form
Purified by Protein A chromatography
Buffer
10 mM Tris, 50 mM Sodium Chloride, 0.065% Sodium Azide pH 7.125
Production Notes
Produced by in vitro bioreactor culture of hybridoma line followed by Protein A affinity chromatography. Purified mAbs are >90% specific antibody.
Quality Control
Each new lot of antibody is quality control tested by western blot on rat whole brain lysate and confirmed to stain the expected molecular weight band.
Quality Control: Application
WB Brain
