Supplied as a liquid in PBS, pH 7.4, 1% BSA, 0.09% sodium azide. Labeled with fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC).

RBL-2H3 rat basophilic leukaemia cell line.

CD63 is an intracellular type-III lysosomal glycoprotein and member of the tetraspanin (TM4SF) family, which is translocated to the cell surface upon activation of platelets, and therefore a potential indicator of platelet activation. Rat CD63 is expressed on mast cells, and studies using clone AD1, have shown that it is located near to FcER1, and that clone AD1 partially inhibits IgE-mediated histamine release(1).

Applications:
Suitable for use in Flow Cytometry. Other applications not tested.

Recommended Dilutions:
Flow Cytometry: Neat. Use 10ul to label 1x10e6 cells in 100ul.
Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.

Storage and Stability:
Store product at 4°C if to be used immediately within two weeks. For long-term storage, aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing and store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable at -20°C for 12 months after receipt.
Caution: FITC conjugates are sensitive to light. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
