Supplied as a liquid in PBS, pH 7.2, 0.02% sodium azide.

Two synthetic peptides corresponding to different regions of the MAP-2 gene product (KLH). Species sequence homology: human (NP_002365, NCBI) and mouse (P20357, NCBI) 100%.

Human MAP-2 is a 199.296 kD protein (1827aa) expressed in neurons of the PNS and CNS, where it serves as a major component of the neuronal cytoskeleton. MAP-2 contributes to structural integrity and cell shape.

Applications:
Suitable for use in Immunohistochemistry, Immunocytochemistry and Western Blot. Other applications have not been tested.

Recommended Dilutions:
Immunohistochemistry: 1:1000-1:2000 using 2% paraformaldehyde tissues
Immunocytochemistry: 1:1000-1:2000 using 2% paraformaldehyde cells
Western Blot: 1:2000-1:5000
Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.

Storage and Stability:
May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
