Supplied as a liquid in 10mM sodium HEPES, pH 7.5, 150mM sodium chloride, 0.1mg/ml BSA, <0.02% sodium azide, 50% glycerol.

Synthetic peptide corresponding to residues surrounding Ser375 of human SRF.

The serum response factor (SRF) is a 67kD phospho-protein that, together with auxiliary factors, modulates transcription of immediate early genes containing serum response elements at their promoters (1, 2). SRF contains several phosphorylation sites (3), but functional
consequences of phosphorylation have not been identified unequivocally. Several growth factor- and calcium-regulated kinases, such as p90RSK and CaM kinase IV, can phosphorylate SRF at Ser103 (4, 5), and Ser103 of SRF is also a nuclear target for MAPKAP kinase 2 (6).

Applications:
Suitable for use in ChIP, Western Blot and Immunoprecipitation. Other applications not tested.

Recommended Dilution:
Western Blot: 1:1000, incubate membrane with diluted antibody in 5% BSA, 1X TBS, 0.1% Tween-20 at 4°C with gentle shaking, overnight.
Immunoprecipitation: 1:50
ChIP: 1:100
Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.

Storage and Stability:
May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
