Background	Cadherins are calcium-dependent cell adhesion proteins. They preferentially interact with themselves in a homophilic manner in connecting cells, cadherins may thus contribute to the sorting of heterogeneous cell types. M-cadherin is part of the myogenic program and may provide a trigger for terminal muscle differentiation. Shibata T., J. Biol. Chem. 272:5236-5240(1997). Buffer	Rabbit IgG in phosphate buffered saline (without Mg2+ and Ca2+), pH 7.4, 150mM NaCl, 0.02% sodium azide and 50% glycerol.
Purification Method	The antibody was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity-chromatography using epitope-specific immunogen.
