Manufacturer - Applications	Quality Tested by Leinco Western Blotting: To detect Mouse IL-21 R this monoclonal antibody can be used at a concentration of 1-2 µg/ml. This monoclonal antibody should be used in conjunction with compatible second-step reagents such as PN:R377 and a chromogenic substrate such as PN:T343. The detection limit for rmIL-21 R is approximately 5 ng/lane and 10 ng/lane under non-reducing and reducing conditions, respectively. The sensitivity of detection may increase up to 50 fold when a chemiluminescent substrate is used.

Storage Conditions	The lyophilized antibody can be stored desiccated at -20°C to -70°C for up to twelve months. The reconstituted antibody can be stored for at least four weeks at 2-8°C. For long-term storage of the reconstituted antibody, aseptically aliquot into working volumes and store at -20°C to -70°C in a manual defrost freezer. Avoid repeated freeze thaw cycles. No detectable loss of activity was observed after six months.

The receptor for IL-21 (IL-21R, also termed NILR for novel Interleukin receptor) is a new member of the class I cytokine receptor family.1, 2 IL-21R forms a complex with the common cytokine receptor g chain, gc, and mediates IL-21 signaling.3, 4 Both IL-21R and the gc are necessary for the IL-21 function. IL-21 and its receptor activate JAK-STAT signaling pathway. IL-21R is expressed in spleen, thymus, natural killer (NK), T and B cell lines. IL-21 plays a role in the proliferation and maturation of NK, B and T cell populations.
