Description
IDH1, also known as isocitrate dehydrogenase (IDHC) cytoplasmic enzyme, belongs to the isocitrate and isopropylmalate dehydrogenases family. This protein catalyzes the third step of the citric acid cycle, which involves the oxidative decarboxylation of isocitrate, forming alpha-ketoglutarate and CO2 in a two-step reaction. The first step involves the oxidation of isocitrate to the intermediate oxalosuccinate, while the second step involves the production of alpha-ketoglutarate. IDH1 is expressed in a wide range of species and also in organisms that lack a complete citric acid cycle.

IF Comment
ICC/IF analysis of IDH1 in Hep3B cells. The cell was stained with ATGA0409 (1:100). The secondary antibody (green) was used Alexa Fluor 488. DAPI was stained the cell nucleus (blue).
WB Comment
The cell lysates (40ug) were resolved by SDS-PAGE, transferred to PVDF membrane and probed with anti-human IDH1 antibody (1:1000). Proteins were visualized using a goat anti-mouse secondary antibody conjugated to HRP and an ECL detection system.
