Reconstitution and storage	The antibodies are stable for 12 months from date of receipt when stored at -20C to -70C. The antibodies can be stored at 2C to 8C for three month without detectable loss of activity. Avoid repeated freezing thawing cycles.
Description of target	Sphinogosine Kinase has two isozymes (SPHK1 and SPHK2) that catalyze the phosphorylation of sphingosine into sphingosine1-phosphate (S1P). Sphingosine 1-phosphate mediates many cellular processes including migRation, prolifeRation and apoptosis, and also plays a role in several types of cancer by promoting angiogenesis and tumorigenesis. SPHK is an important signaling enzyme which is activated by diverse agents, including growth factors that signal throμ gh receptor tyrosine kinase, agents activating G protein-coupled receptors, and immunoglobulin receptors. It also plays a role in breast cancer prolifeRation and chemoresistance. SPHK1 and SPHK2 are ubiquitously expressed. SphK-1 has been shown to mediate cell growth, prevention of apoptosis, and cellular transformation, and is upregulated in a variety of Human tumors. In contrast, SphK-2 increases apoptosis, and may be responsible for phosphorylating and activating the immunosuppressive drμ g FTY720.
Purification	The Rabbit IgG is purified by Protein A Affinity Purification.
