Description	MMP7 is a Metallopeptidase M10A type protease. MMP-7 (Matrilysin) is constitutively produced by exocrine epithelial cells through out the body. It is capable of degrading casein, fibronectin, gelatins of types 1, III, IV, and V, in addition to activating procollagenase. It has been shown to play a key role in invasion by carcinomas.
