Reconstitution and storage	Lyophilized Cystatin A although stable at room temperature for 3 weeks, should be stored desiccated below -18C. Upon reconstitution CSTA should be stored at 4C between 2-7 days and for future use below -18C. Please prevent freeze-thaw cycles.
Purification	Greater than 98.0% as determined by: (a) Analysis by RP-HPLC. (b) Analysis by SDS-PAGE.
Biological activity	The IC50 value is < 3.4 nM, as measured by its ability to inhibit papain cleavage of a fluorogenic peptide substrate.
Formulation	Cystatin A was lyophilized from a concentrated (1mg/ml) solution in 50mM Tris-HCl, pH 7.5 and 100mM NaCl.
Purity	Greater than 98.0% as determined by: (a) Analysis by RP-HPLC. (b) Analysis by SDS-PAGE.
