Description	Melatonin reverses the darkening effect (on skin) of melanotropin and inhibits LH-secretion. Shukla et al. observed that melatonin stimulates the nonamyloidogenic processing of APP via positive transcriptional regulation of ADAM10 and ADAM17 acting as alpha-secretases. Melatonin has been suggested as food additive for the prevention or Alzheimer´s disease.
