Description	Murine IL-4 has a molecular weight of approx. 16 kD and is disulfide-linked, which has an apparent effect on bioactivity. Murine and human IL-4 display about 50% homology at the amino acid level, but there is no species crossreactivity. Some activities of IL-4 include growth of certain T cells, co-stimulation of mast cells, and stimulation of MHC expression.
