products_extra_fields_value
Neurofilaments are composed of three intermediate filament proteins: light (ca.68 kDa), medium (ca.160 kDa) and heavy (ca.200 kDa), which are involved in the maintenance of the neuronal caliber. Neurofilament medium runs on SDS-PAGE gels in the range 145-170 kDa, with some variation in different species.

storage
After reconstitution of lyophilised antibody, aliquot and store at -20AC for a higher stability. Avoid freeze-thaw cycles.
formulation
Lyophilised with 5% trehalose
immunogen
Recombinant fusion protein containing the extreme C-terminal segment of rat NF-M.
crossreactivity
Hu, Rat, Ms, Fel, Chk. Predicted to react with other mammalian tissues due to sequence homology.
conality
Chicken
specificity
Specifically recognizes the medium neurofilament subunit NF-L in WB. Band appears at ca.145 kDa in WB from rodent and ca.160 kDa for human and bovine WB.
reconstitution
Reconstitute in sterile distilled water. Centrifuge to remove any insoluble material.
