Background	Oxoeicosanoid receptor 1 (OXER1) also known as G-protein coupled receptor 170 (GPR170) is a protein that in humans is encoded by the OXER1 gene located on human chromosome 2p21; it is the principal receptor for the 5-Hydroxyicosatetraenoic acid family of carboxy fatty acid metabolites derived from arachidonic acid. Enables G protein-coupled receptor activity and icosanoid binding activity. Involved in adenylate cyclase-inhibiting G protein-coupled receptor signaling pathway. Predicted to be located in plasma membrane.

Protein Function	Probable E3 ubiquitin-protein ligase that acts as a negative regulator of double-strand breaks (DSBs) repair following DNA damage. Recruited to DSB repair sites by recognizing and binding ubiquitin catalyzed by RNF168 and competes with TP53BP1 and BRCA1 for association with RNF168-modified chromatin, thereby acting as a negative regulator of DSBs repair. E3 ubiquitin-protein ligase activity is not required for regulation of DSBs repair.
