Background	Mouse MIP-1?, or Ccl3, of the intercrine beta (chemokine CC family) is a secreted cytokine with inflammatory, pyrogenic and chemokinetic properties. It is expressed in lung, spleen, and pancreas, and has a potent chemotactic activity for eosinophils. Ccl3 binding to a high-affinity receptor activates calcium release in neutrophils.
Immunogen	This IgG fraction antibody was prepared from rabbit antiserum after repeated immunizations with recombinant truncated mouse MIP-1? protein produced in E.coli.
Contents	0.02 M Potassium Phosphate, 0.15 M Sodium Chloride, pH 7.2
Purification	This product is an IgG fraction antibody purified from monospecific antiserum by a multi-step process which includes delipidation, salt fractionation and ion exchange chromatography followed by extensive dialysis against the buffer stated above. This antibody is specific for mouse MIP-1? protein. Cross-reactivity with MIP-1? from other sources has not been determined.
