Cross-Reactivity
Low background fluorescence of normal tissue in contrast to specific staining of sections treated with monoclonal mouse anti-human collagen antibodies. No cross reactivity with albumin fractions of mouse serum. No cross reactivity with albumin fractions of animal species.
Description
Antibodies were raised in rabbit to mouse IgG, IgM and IgA. Specific antibodies were absorbed by incubation with Sepharose-bound mouse immuno-globulins. Specific antibodies were eluted by acidic buffer at pH 2.5 followed by neutralization and dialysis. After repeated binding with immobilized mouse immunoglobulins a minimum of 65% protein bound. The purified polyclonal was labeled with fluorescein isothiocyanate isomer I followed by gel-filtation and ion-exchange chromatography to clear unbound conjugate. F/P ratio: 3-5 mol Fluorescein per 1 mol rabbit IgG.
Formulation
1 ml purified rabbit antiserum at 1.2 mg/ml protein in 50% glycerol with 0.1 M NaCl, 0.01M sodium phosphate at pH 7.5.
Application Information
For immunohistochemical staining of tissue sections a 1:40 dilution is recommended.
