Stable for 4 weeks at 2-4C or in working aliquots at -20C for longer storage. Add a carrier protein (0.1% HSA or BSA) as a stabilizer for long term storage. Please note that the addition of any carrier protein into this product may produce unwanted endotoxin. This depends upon the particular application employed. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Recombinant human RXRA is a single, non-glycosylated polypeptide chain containing 119 amino acids. The DNA binding domain of RXR (aa 111-228) was purified by using conventional column chromatography techniques. The retinoid X receptor (RXR) is a pleiotropic nuclear receptor transcription factor that interacts with a variety of nuclear receptor dimeric partners. RXR binds cognate response elements as a homodimer in the presence of its ligand, 9-cis retinoic acid, or as a heterodimer with other members of the nuclear hormone receptor superfamily including retinoic acid receptors (RAR), thyroid hormone receptors (TR), vitamin D receptors and peroxisome proliferators-activated receptors (PPAR). The RXR family includes three difference isoforms, RXR A, B, and G. Human RXRA gene is localized on 9q34.9 and encodes two major isoforms(RXRA1 and RXRA2).
