Manufacturer - Applications
Specific activity asdetermined by the cytopathic affect inhibition assay with mouse NIH 3T3 cellschallenged with EMC virus was <0.1ng/ml, corresponding to a specificactivity of 1 x 107 Units/mg. Each laboratory should determine anoptimum working titer for use in its particular application. Other applicationshave not been tested but use in such assays should not necessarily beexcluded.
Storage Conditions
The lyophilized product, thoughstable for 3 weeks at room temperature, is best stored at –20°C. Afterreconstitution, short term (up to 1 week) store at 2-8oC. Long term, add 0.1%HSA or BSA, aliquot and store at –20°C. Avoid multiple freeze/thaw cycles.

Antigen Description
Interferon-gamma(IFN-gamma) is a dimerized soluble cytokine that is the only member of the typeII class of interferons. This interferon was originally calledmacrophage-activating factor, a term now used to describe a larger family ofproteins to which IFN-gamma belongs. In humans, the IFN-gamma protein is encoded bythe IFNG gene.
