Manufacturer - Applications
The ED50 as determined by thedose-dependent stimulation of KGF-responsive BaF3 indicator cells (measuredby 3H-thymidine uptake) is <10ng/ml, corresponding to aspecific activity of 10 Units/mg. Each laboratory should determine an optimumworking titer for use in its particular application. Other applications havenot been tested but use in such assays should not necessarily be excluded.
Storage Conditions
Thelyophilized product, though stable for 3 weeks at room temperature, is beststored at –20°C. After reconstitution, short term (up to 1 week) store at2-8oC. Long term, add 0.1% HSA or BSA, aliquot and store at –20°C. Avoidmultiple freeze/thaw cycles.

Antigen Description
The Keratinocyte Growth Factor (KGF), also known as FGF7, is a growth factor present in the epithelialization-phaseof wound healing. In this phase, keratinocytes are covering the wound, forming the epithelium. KGF is a small signaling molecule that binds tofibroblast growth factor receptor 2b (FGFR2b). For signalling to occur, adimer is required between two FGF:FGFR complexes that is linked together by amolecule of heparin.
