Manufacturer - Applications
The ED50as determined by the dose-dependent proliferation of murine CTLL-2cells was found to be <0.5ng/ml, corresponding to a specificactivity of >2 x106 units/mg. Each laboratory shoulddetermine an optimum working titer for use in its particular application.Other applications have not been tested but use in such assays should notnecessarily be excluded.
Storage Conditions
Thelyophilized product, though stable at room temperature, is best stored -20°C.After reconstitution, aliquot and store at –20°C. Avoid multiple freeze/thawcycles.
Full name
Interleukin 15
Product Overview
IL-15 isan immunomodulating cytokine that stimulates the proliferation of Tlymphocytes and shares many biological properties with IL-2. IL-15 exerts itsbiological activities primarily on T cells. It is also essential in thedevelopment, survival and activation of NK cells. Recombinant human IL-15which was expressed in E. coli is a 12.9kDa protein consisting of 114 aminoacid residues.

Antigen Description
Interleukin15 (IL-15) is a cytokine with structural similarity to IL-2. Like IL-2, IL-15binds to and signals through the IL-2/IL-15 beta chain (CD122) and the commongamma chain (gamma-C, CD132). IL-15 is secreted by mononuclear phagocytes(and some other cells) following infection by virus(es). This cytokineinduces cell proliferation of natural killer cells, cells of the innateimmune system whose principal role is to kill virally infected cells.
