Manufacturer - Applications
The ED50as determined by the dose-dependent stimulation of TF-1 cells was foundto be< 2.0ng/ml, corresponding to a specific activity of >5x105units/mg. Each laboratory should determine an optimum working titer for usein its particular application. Other applications have not been tested butuse in such assays should not necessarily be excluded.
Storage Conditions
Thelyophilized SCF, though stable at room temperature, is best stored desiccatedbelow 0C C. After reconstitution, aliquot and store at –20°C.
Full name
KIT Ligand
Product Overview
Ahematopoietic growth factor that exerts its activity at the early stages ofhematopoiesis. KITLG stimulates the proliferation of myeloid, erythroid, andlymphoid progenitors in bone marrow cultures and has been shown to actsynergistically with colony stimulating factors. Human KITLG which wasexpressed in E. coli is an 18.4kDa protein containing 165 amino acidresidues.

Antigen Description
StemCell Factor (also known as SCF, kit-ligand, KL, or steel factor) is acytokine that binds to the c-Kit receptor (CD117). SCF can exist both as atransmembrane protein and a soluble protein. This cytokine plays an importantrole in hematopoiesis (formation of blood cells), spermatogenesis, andmelanogenesis.
