Manufacturer - Applications
Thebiological activity was determined by measuring the dose dependentmobilization of intracellular calcium (calcium flux) with human neutrophils.Significant calcium mobilization is observed with >=50ng/ml of recombinantmouse KC (Specific Activity: >=2 x 104 units/mg). Each laboratoryshould determine an optimum working titer for use in its particularapplication. Other applications have not been tested but use in such assaysshould not necessarily be excluded.
Storage Conditions
Thelyophilized product, though stable for 3 weeks at room temperature, is beststored at –20°C. After reconstitution, short term (up to 1 week) store at2-8oC. Long term, add 0.1% HSA or BSA, aliquot and store at –20°C. Avoidmultiple freeze/thaw cycles.

Antigen Description
Has chemotactic activity for neutrophils. May play a rolein inflammation and exerts its effects on endothelial cells in an autocrinefashion. In vitro, the processed forms GRO-alpha(4-73), GRO-alpha(5-73) andGRO-alpha(6-73) show a 30-fold higher chemotactic activity.
