Description of target
Suppressor of innate inflammatory and immune responses involved in curbing excessive inflammation. This function requires SMAD3. Suppresses, or reduces, proinflammatory cytokine production, including IL1A and IL6, as well as CCL12, CSF1, CSF2, CXCL13, IL1B, IL23A and IL1RN, but spares anti-inflammatory cytokines. Inhibits dendritic cell activation.

Kit principle
The microplate provided in this kit has been pre-coated with an antibody specific to Interleukin 1 Zeta (IL1z). Standards or samples are then added to the appropriate microplate wells with a biotin-conjugated antibody specific to Interleukin 1 Zeta (IL1z). Next, Avidin conjugated to Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) is added to each microplate well and incubated. Then the mixture of substrate A and B is added to generate glow light emission kinetics. Upon plate development, the intensity of the emitted light is proportional to the Interleukin 1 Zeta (IL1z) level in the sample or standard.
