Description of target
Shows chemotactic activity for monocytes, resting T-lymphocytes, and neutrophils, but not for activated lymphocytes. Inhibits proliferation of myeloid progenitor cells in colony formation assays. This protein can bind heparin. Binds CCR1. CCL23(19-99), CCL23(22-99), CCL23(27-99), CCL23(30-99) are more potent chemoattractants than the small-inducible cytokine A23.

Kit principle
The microplate provided in this kit has been pre-coated with an antibody specific to Myeloid Progenitor Inhibitory Factor 1 (MPIF1). Standards or samples are then added to the appropriate microplate wells with a biotin-conjugated antibody specific to Myeloid Progenitor Inhibitory Factor 1 (MPIF1). Next, Avidin conjugated to Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) is added to each microplate well and incubated. Then the mixture of substrate A and B is added to generate glow light emission kinetics. Upon plate development, the intensity of the emitted light is proportional to the Myeloid Progenitor Inhibitory Factor 1 (MPIF1) level in the sample or standard.
