Description of target	G-protein coupled receptor for CRH (corticotropin-releasing factor) and UCN (urocortin). Has high affinity for CRH and UCN. Ligand binding causes a conformation change that triggers signaling via guanine nucleotide-binding proteins (G proteins) and down-stream effectors, such as adenylate cyclase. Promotes the activation of adenylate cyclase, leading to increased intracellular cAMP levels. Inhibits the activity of the calcium channel CACNA1H. Required for normal embryonic development of the adrenal gland and for normal hormonal responses to stress. Plays a role in the response to anxiogenic stimuli.

Kit principle	The microtiter plate provided in this kit has been pre-coated with an antigen. Standards or samples are then added to the appropriate microtiter plate wells with a Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP)-conjugated secondary antibody. After TMB substrate solution is added, those wells that contain Corticotropin Releasing Hormone Receptor 1 (CRHR1) will exhibit a change in color. The enzyme-substrate reaction is terminated by the addition of sulphuric acid solution and the color change is measured spectrophotometrically at a wavelength of 450nm +/- 10nm. The concentration of Corticotropin Releasing Hormone Receptor 1 (CRHR1) in the samples is then determined by comparing the O.D. of the samples to the standard curve.
Kit reproducibility	Intra-assay Precision (Precision within an assay): 3 samples with low, middle and high level Corticotropin Releasing Hormone Receptor 1 (CRHR1) were tested 20 times on one plate, respectively. Inter-assay Precision (Precision between assays): 3 samples with low, middle and high level Corticotropin Releasing Hormone Receptor 1 (CRHR1) were tested on 3 different plates, 8 replicates in each plate.
