SNRP70 contains 1 RRM (RNA recognition motif) domain and mediates the splicing of pre-mRNA by binding to the loop I region of U1-snRNA. Western blots using two different antibodies against two unique regions of this protein target confirm the same apparent molecular weight in our tests.
Function:	Mediates the splicing of pre-mRNA by binding to the loop I region of U1-snRNA. The truncated isoforms cannot bind U1-snRNA.
Subunit:	Found in a pre-mRNA splicing complex with SFRS4 SFRS5 SNRP70 SNRPA1 SRRM1 and SRRM2. Found in a pre-mRNA exonic splicing enhancer (ESE) complex with SFRS10 SNRP70 SNRPA1 and SRRM1. Interacts with dephosphorylated FUSIP1 and SFPQ. Interacts with NUDT21/CPSF5 CPSF6 SFRS2IP and ZRANB2.
Subcellular Location:	Nucleus.
