Information	Methotrexate, analog of folic acid, is a nonspecific inhibitor of the dihydrofolate reductase(DHFR) of bacteria and cancerous cells as well as normal cells. It forms an inactive ternary complex with DHFR and NADPH. Methotrexate (MTX) induces apoptosis.
