Biological Activity	4-MMPB is a selective inhibitor of 15-lipoxygenase, with an IC₅₀ of 18 uM. 4-MMPB has IC₅₀s of 19.5 uM and 19.1 uM for soybean 15-lipoxygenase (SLO) and human 15-lipoxygenase-1 (15-LOX-1), respectively. 4-MMPB has potential for the research of prostate cancer^[1]^[2]^[3]^[4]. IC50 & Target: IC50: 18 uM (15-lipoxygenase)^[1] In Vitro: 4-MMPB has an IC₅₀ of 69.6 uM for DPPH bleaching^[2]. 4-MMPB exhibits cytotoxic activity on human PC-3 and HFF3 cell lines^[4]. 4-MMPB (41.48 uM; 72 hours) induces apoptosis and DNA damage in PC-3 Cells^[4].
