Cell metabolism detection kit
Manufacturer - Applications
The kit provides a simple method for detecting Pyruvate Acid (PA) concentration in a variety of biological samples such as animal tissues, plant tissues, cell culture: adherent or suspension cells, serum, bacterial. In the assay, Pyruvic acid reacts with 2, 4-dinitrophenylhydrazine to generate pyruvate-2, 4-dinitrophenylhydrazone, which appears brownish red under alkaline conditions and has a characteristic absorption peak at 520 nm. The Pyruvate Acid (PA) present in the sample is proportional to the signal obtained.

Background
Pyruvate Acid (PA) is an important intermediate for the sugar metabolism in organisms and the mutual transformation of various substances in the body. It connects the three major metabolisms of glucose, fatty acids and amino acids through acetyl CoA and plays an important pivotal role.
Description
Abbkine CheKine™ Pyruvate Acid (PA) Colorimetric Assay Kit is designed for detecting PA in the sample.
