Immune checkpoints

Immune checkpoints are crucial regulators of the immune system as they control inhibitory pathways. Beta Lifescience’s immune checkpoints are used in cancer immunotherapy and –research. PD-1, CTLA4 und PD-L1 are approved as checkpoint inhibitors. The portfolio contains 50 different proteins that cover a wide range of species and tags. Cytokines

CD Antigens

CD Makers (CD = "Cluster of Differentiation") are cell surface molecules that characterize different stages of development or differentiation of leukocytes. These antigens are usually detected using monoclonal antibodies. The CD nomenclature allows a detailed distinction between cell types and differentiation stages. Due to the cell specificity, CD antigens are an important component for pharmacological therapy of various diseases.

Growth Factors

Growth factors are signaling molecules that control growth and development processes. The factors EGF (Epidermal Growth Factor) and FGF (Fibroblast Growth Factor) bind a tyrosine protein kinase and act through intracellular proteins. EGF and FGF as well as other growth factors are included in the Beta Lifescience product portfolio.

Viral Antigens

Beta Lifesciences offers various recombinant antigens for research on HAV / HBV / HCV / HDV / HEV, influenza, dengue, HIV, SIV, HSV and Ebola. The portfolio also includes antigens against HPV and the Zika virus. Particular attention was paid to investigate the coronavirus, which only broke out in 2020. The coronavirus is a virus that causes respiratory disease with flu-like symptoms and has its origin in Wuhan, China.
