The Company

The French company ImmuSmol (immunoglobulins [antibodies] against small molecules) was founded in 2012 by the well-known immunologist Dr. Alban Bessede and is specialized in the production of antibodies which can bind to small molecules. While conventional antibodies only recognize large molecules, ImmuSmol develops innovative immunoglobulins that can be used specifically for smaller molecules (<900 Da).

In theory, every target, whether amino acid, lipid or saccharide, can be addressed with high affinity. These antibodies therefore open up a whole range of new opportunities in research, therapy and diagnostics. A particular advantage herein is their compatibility with existing technologies.

ImmuSmol is focused on three core areas:

Antibodies for research: The manufacturer sells validated primary antibodies that can be used for the detection and visualization of small molecules in cells and tissues.

Customized services: Individual customer requests can be implemented based on many years of experience in antigen design. ImmuSmol thus offers the possibility of producing specific antibodies against a large number of small molecules.

Diagnostics and therapy: Three personalized medical programs are currently being developed based on proprietary antibodies.

Customized Service

The company offers the production of specific antibodies against a variety of different targets. Based on the desired or future application, the addressability and immunogenicity of the target will be discussed and evaluated with the customer. The entire process of monoclonal or polyclonal antibody production is completely controlled and supported by ImmuSmol (from the antigen design to the validation and purification of the antibodies). ImmuSmol also has extensive know-how in the respective antibody applications (immunohistochemistry, immunofluorescence, ELISA).

Range of Products

The product catalog contains only validated antibodies and ELISA kits. The antibodies were selected based on their specificity and binding affinity by ELISA and systematically validated for IHC. They enable quick and reliable detection of small molecules in cells, tissues and biological fluids.

The target class of neurotransmitters includes products such as L-Noradrenaline Rabbit Ab, L-Tryptophan mAb or Serotonin mouse mAb. The antibodies against neurotransmitters are validated for ICH / IF in nerve cell cultures or brain tissue.

The antibodies and ELISA kits against metabolites of the kynurenine signaling pathway include, amongst others, L-kynurenine ELISA kits, Quinolinic Acid ELISA kits, as well as 3-hydroxyanthranilic acid pAb. Furthermore there are also ELISA for metabolites of the serotonin signaling pathway.

The linepup of histamine ELISA kits is suitable for research and in vitro diagnostics. The quantification is possible in almost every biological sample.
